Cuisinart TOB-40 Custom Classic Toaster Oven Broiler
Pros of the cuisinart TOB-40:
Overall this is a simple machine which actually is a pro for for the average kitchen user. It is a nice and small looking oven on your counter so it comes in handy when your kitchen is not so big. It has a real handy crumb tray so no mess in your kitchen, which is a nice feature. As the wattage is high it is a fast toaster.
Cons of the cuisinart TOB-40:
The setting lettering and numbering are to small to read easily. So especially awkward for elderly. It has no timer which is not a problem for most people but some just need to be remembered. Takes a while to get used to the adjust ability to create the toast just the way you want.
Conclusion: A great toaster for simple toasting. If you often want to do some hard core baking in it, you might want to look further. A timer would be handy then.
Waring Pro WTO450 Professional Toaster Oven
Pros of the Waring professional toaster oven:
The oven has a small footprint which makes this one handy for small kitchens too. It is powerful enough to heat up fast so your bread doesn’t dry out on the inside (1500 watts). It has two options, the always-On mode or the timer (handy for those who tend to forget the oven). Definitely a nice price.
Cons of the Waring professional toaster oven:
Opening the glass door does not partially pull out the oven rack, which is a feature frequently found on other models. The crumb tray is really basic. Temperatures were off by 40 degrees (on the hot side). The toast does not brown evenly. But according to a famous test center most toaster ovens have problems with even heat distribution. Only a few of the higher priced ($150) ovens brown evenly.
Conclusion: For it’s price it is a good toaster. But if you are prepared to pay more there are better toasters.
Ps: The dimensions online are not correct. According to a user the real dimensions are 16″ Width x 12 1/2″ Length x 9″ High. The internal tray is 10″ Width x 8 3/4″ Length.
Breville BOV800XL Smart Oven 1800-Watt Convection Toaster Oven with Element IQ
This oven is in a totally different price class what makes that it is only on the 3 Th place of the bestsellers. As often said, you get what you pay for certainly applies for this oven.
Pros of the Breville BOV800XL: This easy to understand oven has an easy readable LCD display and has a very quiet convection feature. The crumb tray sits in the front of the toaster so cleaning is easy. The oven door has handy magnetic parts so the oven rack comes out a bit when you open the door, and it has markings on where to put the rack back in depending on what you are baking.
Cons of the Breville BOV800XL: The electrical cord is too short for most people, your outlet needs to be close to your oven. And take care, this toaster oven is big! If you are not sure if it will fit, take a cardboard and cut it to the same size first to see if it will fit on your counter top. As it is so big it seems to take more time to heat up too.
Black & Decker TO1332SBD 4-Slice Toaster Oven
Pros of the Black and Decker TO1332SBD: According to user reviews this toaster does what it is meant to do: toast bread slices quick. As an oven it works good to warm up left overs.
Pros of the Black and Decker TO1332SBD: This is not a small oven so it will take up space on your counter. If you don’t have a lot of space check out the size before buying. Also the rack does not pull out when you open the oven door.
