When they are getting bored and don’t know what to do, their energy seems to focus on breaking parts of my furniture. That was when I got the idea of a Mini Basketball Hoop. As dumping the ball in there is not so easy it keeps them occupied and focused for quite a while now, so though any toy is gamble with kids, in our case this Mini Basketball Hoop is a good toy.

The SKLZ Pro Mini Basketball Hoop is my personal favorite as I think it is the best mini basketball hoop. But why?
1) Well, like one of the reviewers said, when a grown up man can make 18 footers and the hoop keeps up, even after 10.000 shots I think the quality will stand up to our two little boys.
2) I love things which are easy going to set up and have a fast delivery time.
3) The price is great, a real deal in my opinion.
And for me these are the 3 main things I focus on: Good quality, an easy set up, for a good price is what I was looking for in an over the door basketball hoop to keep our two boys playing happily, so this sklz pro mini basketball hoop is the one for us.
2) SKLZ Pro Mini Basketball XL Hoop
The SKLZ Pro Mini XL Basketball Hoop is the main concurrent of the first hoop. As far as I found only two differences to the first mini hoop:
1) bigger backboard namely 23 by 16 inch
2) bigger price
The other things seems to be the same: 9 inch break away hoop, mounting over-the-door or wall, foam padded and a mini basketball included. I’ve chosen for the none XL hoop above as I don’t live in a large house and prefer to have things small.

3) Spalding Mini Jammer Junior Door-Mount Basketball System
I hesitated before adding this hoop, the Spalding Mini Jammer NBA Logo Man Portable Youth Basketball System but as there seem to be happy customers here it is.
Customer review summary: I bought this for my 9 year old son, and he loves it. The only con we found is it’s not thigh to the door with only a little padding under it, so when the ball hits the backboard it was noisy. Snugging it up with padding helped us out.

Just one review about the Mini Collegiate 1.0 Hoop Set – Michigan State University but he is actually very happy about the quality. His kids were able to destroy most hoops but this one actually survived quite long. As it is high on the bestsellers list I put this mini basketball hoop in my top 10 too.
Perhaps it is just high on the bestsellers list because the Michigan State University has a lot of basketball players?
5) Spalding NBA Mini Hoop Set
Spalding NBA New Jersey Nets Mini Hoop SetAll 30 NBA team logo’s are available, from the Chicago bulls to the Atlanta Hawks to the Cleveland Cavaliers, to the Boston Celtics!!!! Just name it and they have it. Ii is really fun to scroll through all those logos.
But back to the subject: mini basketball hoops.
Customer review summary: “The backboard is good quality and I love the large logo. A great set for any NBA fan.” And here is the con: the ball is not made from rubber but from plastic.
Overall a great set with a good quality hoop for it price.

PS: a tip by one of the users: fill it up with water instead of sand… takes a whole lot less time.
